Activities
The volunteers at Forge Mill Needle Museum and Bordesley
Abbey Visitor Centre have a very close relationship with the
permanent staff. We support them and they support us!
At our Heritage Open Day we always have some activities for
children of all ages, so, we have done our best for this year’s
virtual HOD.
Workman’s Hat
The manual manucture of needles was very dusty and to
rreduce this the workers made hats from newspapers
which they could throw away each day.
Debbie Lakeman, our Museum Officer: Access and
Learninge , explains how you can make this hat in this
entrnaining video.
Quiz
During the lockdown period in April/May, Jo-Ann Gloger , the
Museum’s Curator, created a weekly ‘Curator’s Challenge’ on
the Museum’s Facebook Page. Below, we pull this together into
a single quiz.
