A guided walk round the Abbey Site

Bordesley Abbey is unusual because the whole of the monastery is preserved as a complicated series of humps and bumps (or “earthworks”) which extend over 36 hectares (98 acres). This makes it one of the largest monastic precincts in the country. The meadows in effect contain a record of how the monks lived in and changed the Arrow Valley between the 12th and 16th centuries.
